No need to worry about those friendly flies, come and relax outdoors in our fly wire enclosed veranda and gazebo. Enjoy star gazing while keeping warm by the campfire just outside of the house.
Perfect space for larger families / groups; Sleeping up to 11 people. (8 x Adults & 3 x Children.) And our Johnson Cottage is only a 2 minute walk from the Homestead which can be booked together to help accommodate more family and friends.

Deposit of one nights stay is required at time of booking. The remainder is required in cash on arrival, or bank transferred.
The Homestead and cottage are located 7kms down the highway from our Mern Merna Homestead and phone signal out here can be sparse. Telstra seems to be the only service that could work; But it’s a great way to disconnect and reconnect with who you’re with and where you are. We do suggest bringing a UHF for emergencies while traveling around the Flinders Ranges.

We stayed in the Mt Aleck homestead over Easter. What a gorgeous, charming, comfy and adequate place to stay! The outside fly proof deck was great to relax after a hard day of 4wding. We had 2 young kids who were able to play safely in the enclosed verandas and yards. Comfy beds and all the comforts of home!

Had a great 4 days at Mt Aleck Homestead. Very clean, everything we needed, easy to book and very friendly. Kids enjoyed having an explore and riding their bikes around the property as well as a camp fire each night. We even had a visit from a helicopter as they were checking the power lines! Thank you!
